non http:// pics..how do you put in a pic

if i have a pic on my pc, " it's a spec pic", how do I paste it into the message box...it says to put in a http:// link to pic? How do i do that when it's not on a web page?

this may be a stupid question and i have looked high and low, can't figure it out?????

your best bet is to attach the image to the post, when you hit post Reply there is an option to Attach image.

It won't show up as an image in the post, but will give a link for others to see it

thought of that, but i see others who put in pics etc., just wondering how they do it?...also need to resize my pic, to big I guess...that's what it says...thanks...

Yeh, I've wondered how pics were put right into the post/reply. In otherwords, not a link or web address but the actual pic..right there in the post. How is that done?

When you use the "post reply" button and not the quick reply box, you're presented with a host of options. Click the "IMG" button, a box will pop up asking for an http address to an image. Provide that address and your image will be posted in the thread (not a link, but the image itself).

FYI, make sure it is off your webspace or a friends - if not, it's considered stealing bandwidth.

problem is....i would have to put my pic on a webpage then submit reply and link to "pic" from my webpage...think I will stay with just stick with attatchments....thanks
