Arvin mayor wants cop fired for calling him "dude".

The deputy stopped Olivares and Arvin City Councilwoman Carmen Acevedo in Bakersfield on November 23. Olivares, who was driving, said he was ticketed for having illegally tinted windows on his vehicle, and Acevedo received a citation for having an open container of beer.

Olivares didn't dispute the charges. He just took issue with being called dude.

"He was calling me dude and laughing about it," Olivares said. "I don't think Kern County needs that kind of leadership."

The good councilwoman is tooling around town with the mayor whilst swilling a beer (or holding it for him) and the mayor is talking trash about the cop with lines like "that kind of leadership"? Oh, the hypocrisy!!

What gall that guy has. I almost envy him.

If the Mayor is a Republican . . . . . . . the Democrats will be calling for an investigation.

If the Mayor is a Democrat . . . . . . . . The Republicans will start crusifying him.

N.O.W. . . . . . . . . . . will make accusations of Fraternization, leading to job advancement.

As to the subject post, I 'guess' riding around with open containers is not bad leadership and not setting a bad role model for youth and isn't a bad spending of our tax dollars since we pay for their "company cars".

Nice to know we have such "good leadership" here in No. Cal. Ridiculous, indeed. Surprised, no.
