Who will SCO be sueing next?

There's word around the campfire SCO's going after a big biz using Linux.

As you can see by my comment [in the link above], I'm wondering if it's going to be Microsoft. Wouldn't that make for an excellent addition to the plot line [by excellent, I don't mean to condone].

Who do you think it will be? A victory against MS would put a whole stack of aces up their sleeve...

The Chinese government which purchased at least 1 million copies of Sun Linnux, the deal could go to 200 million. Probably, also the state of Massachusettes, which has also converted to Linnux.

Microsoft is funding SCO, through "service contracts."

Yeah as said, they won't be picking on MS since they're funded by them. That also explains alot.

But that's the thing. Yes, MS is funding them. But what better way to "prove" that it's not anti-competative business [MS pumpin money into a company that is attacking MS's competition] by getting sued by SCO? And with MS on the "defensive", the victor could be easily decided in SCO's favor with MS's desire for such an outcome. With a victory against Linux, the bill for MS's loosing legal team would be minor considering the ego boost big bill would get from the set of events he could set into action with such a stage...

I know, C-O-N-spiracy....but that's nothing new to MS, so I may not be just paranoid. Wrong, maybe, but not too crazy...

SCO should also be suing Apple, as they say that its OS X is also based on Unix!

The fact that MS is behind SCO explains both why they are going after Linux AND why they have yet to succeed.

The judge in the SCO v IBM lawsuit told SCO to put up or shut up. He's given SCO 30 days to provide excatly where in Linnux IBM violated SCO's patent and where does SCO have that patent!

I guess what I'm trying to say is I have a dollar on it being Microsoft.

But rather than betting a dollar, and then paying ~$.40 to mail it, I will just throw an extra dollar in the red bucket for the bell ringer at Walmart, should i be wrong.
