How to get and stay motivated? For fitness buffs.

I'm trying to get in shape and am finding it very difficult.I'm not able to get the results I want and am getting very frustrated.I'm the type that needs someone to be telling me to do 10 more rips. If I'm on my own I tend to get lazy and will not complete my routine. It's true what they say.No pain,no gain. How much pain though is acceptable?I know that pain in your muscles means that lactic acid is tearing away muscle and that new and stronger muscle will replace it. How much pain should you endure so that you know your getting results?

Well, there are also different types of pain.....muscle burn like you are describing is "good" pain...anything like tendon ache or sharp type pains etc is bad, lol.

As far as how much....frankly different people go to different lengths....but if you arent feeling it an dputting out some effort, you arent getting anywhere.

What are your exact goals? Trying to lose weight, tone up etc? In that case you have to be patient first of all...you cant really force it....it takes just a decent, consistent process over some time.

Tell us about your routine that you are doing and maybe we can make suggestions.
