Some of it sounds possible but I get the feeling that it's all BS.

You linked to an MSN Hotmail message that is no longer active. Since I've not seen any of this through normal news sources I have to question the validity. Why haven't Bush's spinners made big news of these "acomplishments"?

If they did, would people listen anyway? No one wants to hear about accomplishments. We like the failures. We like the bad news. Gives us something to be angry about.

"Since President Bush declared an end to major combat on May 1..."

Number of Iraqi children/women killed---?

Number of US/Iraqi soldiers killed......?

Number of jobs lost in the US.........?

Growth in deficit.........?

Increase in terrorism incidents around the world........?

Decrease in Mr Bush's poll ratings.......?

Value of Iraqi property destroyed by US raids/bombings.......?

The list goes on.

Bottom line: statistics can be made to reflect/endorse any situation.

Dunno about this stat or that one....but we are all grownups here..its pitiful to see everyone jump on the stupid hard bipolar opposite party line thing.

As if ANY president is responsible for me finding a job???????????

Huh??? when did it actually get to be HIS problem to find me a job??? Its not Georges problem to find me a job..it wasnt Bills problem either...Ive had jobs under Dems and Reps.

America is still the land of oppurtunity...you wanna job? go find one, quit whining, quit holding your hand out..if you cant find one, make one, go into biz for yourself....there are all kindsssss of ways to make money. Thats what kills me....peeps whine about the economy, they whine about the pres or who was pres before him, they cry this, that, the other.....but look at the facts....everyone knows our economy swings from good to bad and back again.....makes no difference at all, period, who is or isnt pres...everything in life goes on cycles...investers know it, so does anyone mature enough to rise above party line thinking............ and the proof is always in the pudding.....NO MATTER HOW BAD the economy has seemed....SOME PEOPLE FOUND WAYS TO PROSPER DURING the "bad" economy....while at the same time DURING "GOOD" ECONOMIES...SOME PEOPLE FIND WAYS TO GO BROKE.

The ONLY ONLY ONLY person responsible for a person..is THAT person. (yes, there are handicapped peeps and so forth that need some help but thats not 5-7% of our country, lol)

(besides, I notice there arent too many unemployed Mexicans around, lol....but OUR people are too proud to work that cheap for a while till they can get something better, lol...cie la vie)

IRAQI MINISTRY STARTS JOB CREATION PROGRAM IN NORTHERN IRAQ
Quote:
Baghdad, Iraq…October 25, 2003 – Iraq’s Ministry of Municipalities & Public Works is expanding its job creation program this week to the northern governorates of Dohuk, Erbil, and Suleimaniyah.

The Ministry’s program, “Towards a Cleaner and Brighter Iraq,” employs tens of thousands of Iraqis to clean their neighborhoods of trash, sewage, and rubble. The program was first initiated earlier this month in 11 of Iraq’s 18 governorates.

Will acknowledging progress is Iraq damage anyone's left-wing credentials?

Progress is taking place out side the area known as Saddam's home town. Just grin and bear it.
