Rush may be dry,
but, it seems, he's not clean. |

That is a liberally biased, BS statement. It is still just an investigation! Dont come down on the man until something is proven.

| Sadly, the man has lost a fair bit of credibility.

Limbaugh is just a shade less wacko than Ann Coulter.
Just a shade.

Why are you guys so afraid of the guy?
Why aren't you congradulating GWB's brother for being impartial? For investigating the bastion of conservative values?
He is being investigated (probably) to determine whether or not he was treating pain (that's a defense), or getting high (that a no-no).
You are not allowed to get high in this country! It's against the law!
His show hasn't suffered that I've heard. When I'm traveling most of the hotels don't have Fox news, to I have to rely on CNN. So if there was injurys to Rush's ratings, I'd probably have heard about it!

Well he was treating pain, so it was legal, even though I don't approve of what he did. He still needs surgery to correct the condition that required him to take the painkillers in the first place. He just decided to stay on the painkillers and use them to live with the condition. That was the addiction. He'd rather have the pain and the pills than the surgery. So he found a doctor that wouldn't force him to have the surgery. I'm glad he's found treatment and continues to deal with his addiction while remaining clean. What he did wasn't illegal, though the doctor's ethics are in question. They are bound by the hippocratic oath.

Not quite so simple. His intentions were criminal. He was doctor shopping for errrr....accomodating doctors, using multiple doctors to treat the same ailment thereby using overlapping prescriptions,.....all sordid details in the story linked.
No sense looking the other way and simply condoning this. If we do this, as a society we lose all moral values. Best to confront the situation and address underlying causes.
Instead of lying and denying it all, Mr Limbaugh needs to confess and move on.

shahani: Doctor shopping isn't covered under the ten commandments so that sort of thing is ok.

The Attorney General of Florida is an independent cabinet office, independently elected at the same time as the governor. http://www.flsenate.gov/Statutes/ind...tatutes#A04S04 Quote: Originally posted by tony_j15 That is a liberally biased, BS statement. If each criminal news story had to wait until the court outcome nothing would ever get in the paper. The officer was quite diffinitive, “Mr. Limbaugh’s actions violate the letter, and spirit” of the law that relates to “doctor shopping,” stated one of warrants, signed by Asim Brown.
If the news story was 'liberally biased BS,' what facts are inaccurate or slanted? I can understand fans of Rush not liking the story (the way Michael Jackson fans stand behind him) but that doesn't make it not true.
