Polygamist hides behind court rulings

A Utah polygamist claims he and his five wives are protected by the Supreme Court ruling since they're all consenting adults.

Bound to happen; you remember that Mormons objected to Santorum's lumping polygamy in with pedophilia, bestiality and homosexuality when he objected to the Supreme Court's decision.

I am still not sure why polygamy is considered bad.

I mean in it's purest form. Not including incest and mental abuse found in many polygamist families.

Just the simple concept of a family unit of either multiple husbands or multiple wives.

I mean it is not illegal to date 2 or 3 women at the same time. How has this become illegal.

Heck in the bible it was all the rage 2 to 3 thousand years ago.

I'm trying to figure how to react to Epidemic defending his argument from the bible.

Since cohabitation laws have been ignored, so have polygamy laws. The problem is probably if one isn't supporting their family or trying to collect too many benefits.

Some just go around procreating and not even living with the mother.

I am not sure if that explains the ban.

It is just concentrated sperm donation.

At least the costs can be mitigated by the fact that they all live under one roof. Unlike urban sperm donors who force the state to support his pride in separate housing units.
