Xmas CDs
There used to be a lot of discount Xmas music. But it appears this year the record companies realize that certain artists who may not sell well during the year have fantastic draw at Xmas.
Xmas CDs I saw in the $5.99 bin last year, have moved up to the $17.99 bin. Really!

I love it when singers who would spit on the bible the rest of the year sell Christmas albums.

I actually like the old Crooners renditions of Xmas carols: Perry Como, Bing Crosby, Dennis Day, Johnny Mathis, Andy William, even Gomer Pyle, Jim Nabors.
Last year, their stuff was in the discount bin. This year they are definitely premium.
But no Christmas is complete without Gene Autry, the original singing cowboy! His biggest hits weren't cowboy songs at all--Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Santa Claus Is Coming To Town!

I love it when Protestants tell their kids a Roman Catholic saint (who has been dead for hundreds of years) brings them presents every year.
I really don't see what the problem is with singers who spit on the bible singing Christmas songs, unless they are about the birth of Christ or something.

I love it when evangelist nobody's post rubbish on forums, but we all have our little niggles don't we? Christmas is more of a tradition than a religious holiday, for most.
I dont like christmas remakes of songs.

| Must be a European thing...I've never heard of it commented on like that, using the religious groups such as you did. Quote: |

| Yeah well (incase you didn't know) Christmas is about the birth of Christ, hence the reason why osprey made that statement. And you can't really have a Christmas album without having religious songs in there.

I love it when complete nobodies (yes, I can spell correctly) post stupid comments about other people for no good reason other than be 'cool' in their own eyes.
My grandma had a Bing Crosby Christmas record. I think we wore that poor thing out when I was growing up. And the Theresa Brewer albums. Christmas wouldn't be complete with Theresa Brewer.
Poor Warthog, didn't you know, Christmas is about discount prices and profit margins! It's okay to blaspheme in this day and age, as long as there's some cash involved.
No no, I'm not cynical. | |

Saint Claus, was a Catholic.
Santa Claus,
In England, he's Father Christmas.
Oh, and we don't celebrate Christmas in our house about the birth of Christ, we are not religious, we use it as a time of giving and sharing.

The only old crooner that seems weird having Xmas CDs is Sammy Davis, Jr. considering he converted to Judaism.
Peace on Earth, peoples.

I compiled my own Christmas CD mostly rock groups (U2, Kinks etc.) doing remakes. It's the best Christmas CD there is if I do say so myself |
