I have seen pit bulls, friendly as can be. It really depends how us humans bring them up. If we train the to fight, then they will. I'm not saying that thats not their nature, to fight and kill.

Think about this though.... from your statement I can see your anger. But lets turn that into a different situation.

Boy kills one, injures two in shooting.

I'm sick in tired of these boys.Eliminated every last one of these blood thirsty kids. They serve no purpose except to make inferior stupid **** men think their big shots.Theres nothing lovable about these kids.Their ugly and breed for killing and thats it. I love people and will be the first to help them out. But,not these killers.

IMO, i think your statement is irrational, and i tried to show that with the above example. Also IMO, I think that the owner's should have heavy charges brought against them, but I do not know enough details to really lean that way either.

If we can make machine guns illegal, why not pit bulls?

I mean most machine guns sit in the closet gathering dust, waiting to be called to duty. Just like Rover. Until someone somehow flips his switch.

You can easily determine a Pit Bull's demeanor by observing it's owner. A husband/wife/kid taking a pitty for a leashed/collared walk is far less threatening than a tattooed, goateed, wild-eyed biker walking one with a choker chain or worse, off the leash.

Trouble with the assumptions. That if you raise them like a normal dog they'll be OK is wrong.Way to many cases of a said case going berserk and doing such as above noted story.

What Term said is true. A friend raised a pit bull as family pet and the dog is real cool. One day his four year old son tripped and fell down in his yard. The dog attacked him and tore up his head. My friend had to shoot the dog. The boy had to go through surgery and scalp pullings to get his hair back. Not a pretty scene. Pit bulls are not good for family pets but good for security like the dobs and the rotts. They can be such cool pets but very unpredictable.

Stability!

the % of pits who become psycho would appear to be higher.

Even in a loving family.

Pit bulls are very aggressive dogs, it's the reason why they were used for dog fights. Because of its aggressive nature, the pit bull and a few other dog species are illegal here.

They can be very nice dogs, I'm sure. But I wouldn't stick out my hand to pet one.

Another story explaining the need for guns.

Had the woman had a glock with a 17 round clip she might well still be alive.
