Los Angeles: master/slave drives are politically incorrect.

He**..LA (+ California) is "politically incorrect".

That state has been the instigator of more crap than any other. Wouldn't it be great if someone shipped a few carloads of Alabama corn cobs out their way to kinda...plug up that source-hole!

Actually, I do find that phraseolgy at least AWkward and trivialing a national ordeal.

But the terms must have come from Photography, where there are Master light Which go off with the camara) and Slave light swhich have a photoelectri gismo which reponds to the Master lights. This was done to avoid having photo light cables running all over the place .

I did some photography in my wholesome youth () and I felt the same way then.

I was surprised the lingo traveled over to Computers nowadays

This is an interesting topic. If you think about it there are alot of things that make reference to master and slave.

Master bedroom, master switch, master bath....etc.

Frankly I think the only way to deal with this problem is to compile a master list of these terms to abolish. LOL JK
