How're you gonna cook your turkey?

Just wondering how you're gonna have it this week?

I'll prolly fry ours, just b/c it's so much faster. The only problem I've had with frying it is that sometimes the leftovers taste a little greasy, but man it's good the first day

Last year, we BBQ'd it on the grill. Of course no barbeque sauce, but it was good. (Took quite a while, tho.)

OR are you going the conventional way, in the oven?

Do tell...if you have any interesting tips or ideas, lemme know!

I was almost 30 before I enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner. It was more of a pain than a joy. For my father, it was not about company, it was about food. He would hound my mother about the huge dinner. I didn't enjoy Thanksgiving dinner. I barely like Thanksgiving type food now.

When I was married, I learned to enjoy it. I would go to her family's place. It was about company, not food.

I have fun with Thanksgiving now. My father is passed. My mother is still kicking. We'll go to my brother's place and have a nice meal. It's about company.

I used to cook an entire meal on Thanksgiving and give it away to a social hall that fed the less fortuante. Some people have no place to go. It's not that they're homeless. They seem to be family less. The hall gave them some company.

I'm doing the whole meal on my own.

Wife and son have to leave for work at 3:00 P.M.

Gotta get up at 5:30 A.M. and get everything going and ready by 1:00 P.M.

At least no one will be in the kitchen to get in my way.

At least I love to cook.

Bill

Turkey???

I'm having steamed snow crab legs!

I'll use one of those oven bag deals...I don't have anyone to cook for ( ) and my son doesn't eat any of the Thanksgiving foods.

Pssst, Neo I've yet to try deep fried turkey, but I hear it's good.

Sounds like a heart attack waiting to happen, but I'd like to try it once.

That deep fried turkey looks divine.. But I hear a lot of people burn their houses down attempting to cook those deep-fried turkeys.

Neo - I saw it on tv...I think they put a shiznit load of oil in a pot and that's how you do it.

hmmmmmmm haven't decided what I'll do, if anything...*shrugs*...might go to Popeyes with some friends if they are open. Or if we can find a nice restaurant around here that is serving, that'd be great.....If all else fails, the chow hall is serving a special feast.
