SF Man Sues Church for Ringing Bells

Check This Article Out!

As we have hearty debate over the propriety religious expressions outside the confines of a house of worship, here is a guy who wants to sue a church for ringing its bells too loudly!

The guy moves onto one of the most active thoroughfares of San Francisco and complains it's too noisy. What 'sa matta' him? He didn't notice a HUGE church when he moved in nor did he see the cable car tracks?

Silicon Valley (Santa Clara County) was primarily farmland before the techies started to move in. As agricultural land was being turned into housing developments, part of the original selling point was that it was out from the urban centers and in rural areas.

City dwellers started trying to sue the farmers because the roosters were too loud!

People can sue for anything. I read a story last week about a man, 4' 2", suing the city to force them to buy him a car because he had anxiety about riding in public transportation after being teased as a kid for being short while riding the school bus.

I always get annoyed at people who move somewhere and then complain about the place they moved to:

City people who move to farm country and complain about the noise and smell the chickens and cows make;

Country people who move to the city for the jobs and excitement who complain about the prices and the hustle;

People who move to a busy street because the price of a house there is a bargain, and then want speed bumps to control the dangerous, noisy traffic;

People who buy land cheaply because it's a protected wetland and then sue because they can't put twenty houses with septic systems on it;

People who move out to the burbs for good schools and then complain about the time it takes to commute to their well-paid jobs in the city.

If you don't like it here, stay where you are.

The idiot in San Francisco is actually living on prime land. He complaining about being on the edge of the Fisherman's Wharf; in the middle of North Beach (Italian neighborhood w/ nothing but restaurants); and on a main transportation hub.

But come to think of it, the guy's a parking lot attendent. How much noise and pollution directly pays his wages and tips he doesn't declare?

The fight will continue Monday, when the sides face off in small claims court. The church has tremedous support from long time residents, merchants, and a city councilman who lived within a block of the church for 12 years. They will appear as witnesses for the church!

That's like moving next to an airport then complaining about how noisy it is. We have those same idiots up here in Healdsburg. They are trying to craft a noise ordinance directed at the local gravel processing plant that has been there years before any of these people have moved into town from Marin County.

Atomic Rooster Those are the same people who don't read the warning labels on anything (especially cigarettes) and sue the manufactuer. They don't know how to drive (especially SUVs) and sue the manufacturer because they don't handle like Porsches.

Part of the freedom of making decisions is the freedom to make the wrong decision!
