Outdoors Dog "stuff" around my sidewalk

I need some advice.

We just got a house and every other week or so I see dog poo around the front sidewalk of our house. It is obviously some neighbor's dog that they take for a walk.
I haven't seen who it is yet. I find it irritating to come home and go past the sidewalk only to see this stuff laying there! lol
So I have to go around picking someone else's crap! Should'nt they be responsible for picking it up with a pooper scooper?

What should I do? Put up a sign or something?
Keep a close watch and tell whoever a thing or two?
Maybe a camera? heh hehe...

I don't know.... any advice on this crappy situation is welcome.

Well when we had that problem with a neighborhood dog I just watched and finally found out who's dog it was and then I cleaned up the mess and took it to their house and placed it on their porch and rang the doorbell. Then when they answered I said in a very nice manner...

"Excuse me...but while you were walking your dog you left something of your dog's in front of my home. I just wanted to let you know that I was returning it to it's rightful owner and I placed it right here for you so it wouldn't get taken"

whats funny is that neighbor and I have become great friends since then and have never had a problem since then....(maybe the thought of me taking all of my Husky's (the one's I had back then) over to his house to "doo" their duty" in his yard he probably figured it would be a battle he would end up losing!

Try to catch the neighbor and talk with him! I think it is a law that the propietary of the dog picks the .... that the dog leaves!!!

There's this stuff in liquid form called no chew....it supposed to not smell but has a very bitter taste. I know what your thinking..."I don't want to eat it!".. , but when I had the same problem I sprayed the concrete walk with it and the offending dog didn't like the smell and went on the grass. If it doesn't smell right Dogs won't go there. It might be just a matter of finding the right smell if the 'No Chew' doesn't work.

Oh! BTW..did you see Me, Myself and Irene?

Had the same problem with several dogs.

Several BBs in the rump at 650fps solved that problem
