Got a box of food coloring? I think there is a 'recipe' for brown on the back.

Red, yellow, and blue are the primary colors. Combine any two of the primary colors and you'll have secondary colors which are orange, green, and purple. The color brown came from the mixtures of red, green, and blue. Where each of the primary colors = 255 (full) then brown = red(164), green(84), and blue(30).

EDIT: I should add that the numbers represents the intensity (luminance) of the colors where 255 equals the full luminance.

Red, blue and yellow are primary colors. You can download a colorwheel and try out different colors.

It sorta depends on what you are talking about Surreal...

Red and Green pigments in paint will make brown. Mixing other colors with those two allows you to mess with its darkness/lightness.

Red and Green light on the other hand, when mixed together, produce a yellow light.

Yes I was thinking paint or really stain colors. I'm thinking about staining some poplar to tone down the green streaks... Actually as I opened the thread to see the answer, I said purple... which is red and blue to me
Hmm I don't know of purple stain tho... perhaps some grape KoolAid?
