Keep your fingers crossed...

In a few hours I'll be sitting at a job interview. It's my first one and I'm very nervous. I'd like to ask of you to please spare a thought for me and keeping your fingers crossed. I need this job.

I would also like to ask you all to do something else for me. My grandfather is now in very bad shape, he's lost alot of weight and is dehydrated. His primary medication has side-effects that cause him to get very confused, and he has been given another medication against those side-effects, but as get gets worse the dosage keeps getting too small. I fear that he is on his final days right now. So please send your thoughts and prayers his way. I would hate for him to have to suffer these last days of his life. I don't know how much time he has left, since he's tough material, but he's now very weak.

Thanks
/AE

Good luck with the interview, AE. Did you go to MSN and read up on pointers like I said?

If I were a praying man, your grandfather would be in them. Best wishes for you both.

good luck man

Remember make sure you wipe your palms so they're not all sweaty when you shake their hand
Don't keep your hands in your pockets before!

Stand up straight, speak with confidence and make sure you sound like you want the job!
If you don't know what something is, thats fine but dont say you *can't* do it.. just say you haven't done it YET but sounds cool and a good challenge

Good luck man and let us know how it goes!

Good luck A_E! I remember my first interview...I was scared half to death. But, I mustered up all I could, sat down and did it and got the job. I've gotten every job I've ever had an interview for, including a somewhat strange interview in the Army to get selected out of 20 guys to get promoted to Specialist. Both myself and my roommate were the only ones to get promoted that day. We both edged out the competition with steadfast conviction in our answers, even if they were wrong, because we believed they were the right answers when questioned about them. Sounds a little strange, but if you think about it a little, it makes sense.

Keep one thing in mind. Employers hate job interviews more than the person being interviewed. They just want to hire someone and get it over with. If you're the right person for the job, they want you more than you want them. Go in with that kind of confidence and you'll be fine.

Best of Luck.

It went alot better than I had hoped for. The interviewer was very nice and I felt alot more relaxed than I thought I would. They only need to seal the deal for the job that I will be part of if they get it, and then I've got a couple of months work.

Thanks for the support...
