The SPIN never stops !!!

http://www.cnn.com/2003/ALLPOLITICS/....ap/index.html

Bush said the United States will not spend "years and years" in Iraq as a new government takes shape.

Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, who is currently on a tour of Asia, said U.S. troops will not withdraw anytime soon.

Is this a contradiction or what ???? Better change those Yellow ribbons to Red or even Purple and most definitely Black

I really have nothing to add except President Bush is the biggest liar I have ever come across.

Rumsfeld is a close second.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the story is about handing over the reigns of government to Iraqi's quicker.

Got nothing to do whether the troops stay or go. Plus they have to stay, because if they leave now there will be an instant insurrection by the Baathists.

Lots more killing to do yet, the "opposition" still has some fight left in it.

Well, that is true. Lots more killing to do. Unfortunately the people killed will be on both sides.

Once the reigns of Government are handed over to Iraqis, I don't think (and this is my personal opinion) the US Military will be tolerated by the new Government and will either leave or be kicked out.

Unless Bush instals a puppet Government which will be worse for the chaos and "power-grab" violence it will create.

So, I think its all or nothing as far as Iraq is concerned.

Iraq is going to degenerate into a civil war that will make Somalia look tame. Iraq has an unemployement rate of 80% right now. It's going to get worse. Thank you, Mr. Bush for freedom!

Well, not trying to be sarcastic but he had to do something during his Presidency that would make people remember him.
