After my mother passed I had to change her mailing address to mine and as a result I am now receiving a massive amount of junk mail, (post office mail, not computer mail) and they have doubled it since they found out I live here also. Does any one know the address to stop junk mail? I have done it before and it was great but I dont remember how I did it. I called the post office here and they had no idea.

I don't think you can. Bulk mail (Junk Mail) is the Post Office's bread and butter.

Why aren't the environmentalists after these tree murders when we need them!

Why not just print on the front of the junk mail(I bought a stamp for this purpose - like $10.00 I think)

"REFUSED : RETURN TO SENDER" ?

That way they pay postage BOTH WAYS.

or put the flyers in one package into the return envelopes of another, and vice-versa. That way they pay postage AND spend time and effort sorting it from the genuine returns :insert evil smiley:

Just write on each one," RETURN TO SENDER,MOVED: NO FORWARDING ADDRESS.

I've used it alot in the past with no problem.

PS. Or just throw it away.

This is just my oppinion but I think maybe you should just move... They wouldn't be able to send you anymore junk mail and you wouldn't have to worry about it.

How about addressing them all to someone you hate?

It'll take some time, but this method works.

You know how all the junk has a postage-paid return envelope?
Well, it only cost them if it's actually mailed back, and then they pay for it by weight.

>On the application (or whatever) write "Refused - remove from mailing list" diagonally in red.
>Take everything they sent you, including the outer envelope, and stuff it into the postage-paid one. Loosely, so it's puffed up & pisses off the mailman. No return address, of course.
>Mail it. (at a mailbox, not from home!)

Eventually they get the message, and apparently they also spread the word. I get nearly -0- junk mail these days!
