The only pimping is going on is the clique in Washington hiding under the mantle of CONSERVATISM is looting the American treasury and calling it fiscal responsibility! Wake up!
The President laid the whole purpose of the war out before the first shot was fired. American corporations were going to rebuild Iraq and Iraqi oil is to pay for the contracts! That is, Iraq is going to buy billions of dollars of American goods and services whether they want to or not!
These contracts were and still are being awarded in secret. The $84 billion appropriation had $2 Billion for Halliburton. Nobody can explain what the $2 Billion is for.
Two goofs in the original calculation. The first is the Iraqi oil is not ready to pump as fast as they thought. It's only pumping at 1/10 the estimated rate.
The second is the resistance in Iraq is heavier than anticipated. No money and a lot of dead people for some greedy corporations!
Somebody around here doesn't think there aren't Iraqis that know big construction? Who do you think built the country before it got blown up? Iraqi engineering companies are being locked out of the rebuilding process. They can only work as subcontractors!
Saddam Hussein used to award contracts to his cronies. Now the U.S. Defense Department is awarding contracts to their cronies. Iraqis are not sharing in the wealth!
