They were only MIA for the first half, they played good in the 2nd half.

What a mismatch! But you could have seen it coming after what the Buffs did to Nebraska. If I was a Gator or Duck, I'd be wondering if my team would have matched up better with the Canes.

Come to think of it, only Virginia Tech came close to the Canes. A dropped two point conversion away from sending the game into overtime.

You forget about the BC fiasco. And not that anyone believes me now but I picked Miami at the start of the season.

Nebraska practically gave Miami the game in the first half with turnovers. I thought Miami would win, but I did not think Nebraska would lay down in the first half like they did. If they could have held onto the ball and kept the running game going, they would have had a chance. If wishes were fishes..

Come to think of it, how appropriate to find a thread like this on a computing forum, since a computer picked Nebraska to play Miami! Must have hit a BSOD just before spitting out "Cornhuskers"!!

Hard to know exactly how good Miami is, since they never played the second best team in the country. Oh well, another year and no REAL national champion.

Well, congratulations to a powerful Miami team... after watching them dismantle the Huskers, it appeared that they'd give a lot of NFL teams trouble as well ( I don't think Colorado or Oregon would have faired any better).

At least, after getting stomped in the first half NU didn't roll over and play dead, they kept on playing hard ... that's about all you can reasonably demand of college athletes.

Just wait til next year, then we can start the controversies all over again.
