Reporting posts to mods question

I've witnessed a couple threads with some questionable language here and I do what I usually do... click on the report this post.

I've wondered how many notification the mods get?? I'm sure I'm not the only one that does this.

When you (Moderators) check e-mail or PM's or however you are notified check and see that you have like several new messages and it's all reporting the same post. I was curious how many you receive?

Also do you PM back and forth and deceide who edits the post or is it who gets the first notification does the editing?

Just my curiosity getting the better of me.

I think it's random how many they will get, it all depends how big the issue is, where it is, in what topic, on which page (more people check the first page then the last page)

One email is issued for each report submission. The report is then delivered via email to each of the moderators listed in the header section of each specific forum, plus Scott of course.

BTW, I receive moderation reports only for the graphics forum.

All reports are delivered to the mods, even if several people submit a report for a single thread/post. The first moderator to respond generally takes care of the problem.

If the violation is serious enough, the moderation staff will confer upon a possible administrative action, such as banning, via an internal forum established for staff communications.

If a problem is threat-level serious, as in someone hacking the site, then Scott and/or I will be notified, and the appropriate actions will be enacted to promptly correct the situation.

Oh look! He's making sure he's not included if the other mods are caught slacking!

Bones please report those posts you see, and if you still see profanity after the mod has been there, perhaps shoot a pm? We miss stuff when we scan the thread looking for the problems sometimes. We appreciate members helping us.

Oh and why don't you get it from every forum? You are all admins, so you should be getting it from every single forum.

Gohan, perhaps they do things differently at other places?
Robert is not a Mod other than The Graphics Forum. He does plenty of other things around here.
