JRR Tolkien's Lord of the Rings

I ran into this JRR Tolkin site for the die hard fan.

JRR Tolkien's Lord of the Rings

Adapted from the MS DOC floating around out there to an unauthorized web site for easy reading, adaptation by Halifax.

Wow, a new idea, reading a whole book on the internet! Wonder if The Hobbit is out there somewhere?

Incredible odds.

I'm trying to figure out why my Monotype Corsiva font won't work here.. and your link allows the download of this font. I hope it works.

The FOTR was absolutely great, btw Thanks by proxy, surreal

I just watched the film today and really liked it. I even had time for a bit of a snooze during the plot bits as I've read the book a fair few times

I thought the film missed a few good bits out & changed other stuff for no real reason (like Liv Tylers elven character having a sudden gender crisis ).

Good link, good book & good film

Regards

Eddy

spooky: yeah the film dragged in places and they cut a lot, but it's hard to cut a book of the magnitude of lotr (in which a lot happens in a litle amount of space) into a three hour movie.

i thought it was EXTREMELY well done however. very entertaining. in fact, one of the better movies i've seen this year.

Actually the site has the books broken down "wrong".
The last chapter of Felloewship is the Breaking of the Fellowship, Towers ends with the Choices of Master Samwise. All a mere technicallity I'm sure. Cool to see so much of this on a nice site. Thanks
Eve

wizofid, you forget that each volume is broken into two "books" hence the listing is correct

now don't get me started on the chapter order in the film
