OK, I have read the whole article (and it took a while!). The authors make many valid points, but expose their own biases by labeling every anti-Palestinian or pro-Israeli argument as a "myth." The fact that many Palestinians would like to see Israel destroyed is not a "myth." The authors claim that Zionism has caused Israel to reject all conciliatory offers, including ". . . that most conciliatory gesture, the PLO's decision in 1988 to recognize Israel's existence." Most conciliatory gesture? Spare me! So while I can't argue with much of what they wrote, some of their statements cause me to wonder what drug or planet they're on.

The "what if" applies equally well to Israel.

But this is not a hypothetical world. To simplify it like this is to miss the core of the problem and to ignore the complexities.

And to my mind, this problem will not be resolved in our lifetimes.

Zionism was declared a form of racism by the United Nations definition of the term. The definition was agreed to by all member states and their lawyers. Is that 'garbage' too? Zionism was then removed due to political pressure.

And you think that "political pressure" wasn't a factor in the initial declaration?

It would not have worked, if Zionism was not a form of racism. Get my drift?
