LOL, funny, but it turned out to be an ad, just as I suspected. I'll continue eating scapple, bacon, eggs, sausage, ec. for breakfast.

If you go to the websites afterwards that discuss sustainable farming I'll give them credit for not turning out to be PETA-like freaks. And to those of you that support PETA and / or vegetarianism / veganism, its not personal. I don't think all of what PETA stands for is bad, nor do I think that vegetarianism / veganism is bad, but when I read statements like the following (taken from www.goveg.com):
Eating meat is hazardous to our health; it contributes to heart disease, cancer, and many other health problems.
I find it impossible to take such people seriously, because the above is simply not true as its been presented. But then, that's always the case when it comes to groups with agendas.
As far as I'm concerned the animal is there, and its fine to eat it. Mass-producing it the factory farm way may be bad for the environment as a whole (and should therefore be monitored) but fundamentally I really don't care if a bunch of chickens with a brain the site of a peanut are "happy."
Call me a bad man.

| And how can you disagree with years of research confirming this to be true? What really worries me the most is the point they made about the antibiotics (and growth hormones) they give these animals and the impact that may have on us down the road. It's already documented that antibiotics have been over-prescribed and wrongly used in the past 50 years to where they are constantly having to develop newer ones to treat the oldest biological infections.

Well, then I'm going to die. So be it, I'm not giving up meat.
My band director in the 8th grade was a vegetarian. He was always weak and pale, due to lack of iron (repeat: IRON, AN ELEMENT FOUND IN MEATS) and vitamins, and yet he claimed that ever since he became a vegetarian he had "so much more energy". Pfffff.

Years of research confirming this to be true?
WHERE.
Find me that info (on a non-pro-vegetarian website).
Besides, I remember not long ago when scientists released information claiming that chemicals found in bread, rice, potatoes, and one other thing all were carcinogens. Heh.
I've long said that living causes cancer, and it seems true. In fact this could lead into a separate rant on how screwed up dietary information is these days. First you aren't supposed to drink, then drinking a little is healthy. First its butter you don't want, now its margarine that's bad. It goes on and on and on and on and ON.
Of course meat should only be eaten in moderation, that goes without saying. But I've read nothing REMOTELY suggesting that "meat causes cancer." That's not quite as off-the-wall as the people who suggest that we are supposed to live off sunlight and air, but its close.

Living causes cancer
Living causes death
I personally think we were designed to eat both meat and veggies, and following this, that is exactly what I'll eat.
Mmmm...
