Going to see Malmsteen saturday

Yep, you heard me. I am telling myself that i am just going to say that i have seen the fastest guitarist ever, i am not going for the music. i think i would rather go to a Yanni concert for the music ok...maybe not, but they are close.

I heard the other day that Malmsteen, Satriani, and Vai ( I think ) are joining up to form a band.

Anyone else heard this?

I never saw Malmsteen live but have seen Vai when he was with Whitesnake. One word desribes it,.....awesome

Seen Vai when he was with Roth. Could've done without Dave there, but Steve put on an awesome show.

Whoa! You lucky dawg, seeing 3 of the top rock guitarists in one venue! Joe Satriani rocks. Excellent driving music.

Yngwie is a killer. He changed the way the instrument was played..at least in the 80's thru to about when Kurt Cobain taught everyone it was cooler to be a star than to have talent.

Yngwie is way faster and "purer" than vai or satch. of course anyway they were all 3 some of my faves..along with EVH.

I think it is funny cuz of some of Yngs old interviews...if you can find some of them read them! they r hilarious.

He used to sort of rail on Steve Vai.

He said Steve played out of tune and he would say stuff like he wanted to ask Steve "why dont you just play the note that fits the song" etc. Then he went overboard and said Steve's sound was "muddy", lol. This was in the midst of the heady "passion and warfare" days...about 89-91ish....before the bottom fell out of the super guitar players, lol.

Last pics I saw of Yngwie he was really fatttttttttttttt...but still trying to chill with his shirt unbuttoned to the waist, lol.

Dude has amazing talent!!! As close to mozart or that level as we have nowadays (cuz he didnt go thru the "lowest common denominator" cookie cutter school system, lol...he dropped out realllll early--his mom let him do whatever he wanted..she saw the talent...if he were in America....nope, he wouldnt have been yngwie, not possible)
