Simple. Bush is following the example of former Pres. Clinton;
i.e., "Well, that all depends on what you mean by battlefield!"
Politics, politics, politics. |

So much misunderstanding in a simple definition. Or is it so much misleading... Hmmm...

Well, Bush like many others, wants the world to believe there's lots of good news coming out of Iraq.
Because guess what?
Makes Bush look good for the election.
This man has ceased to amaze me.

Yeah, a boy from Crystal Springs. Sad Saw the interview with his family. Leaves a wife and a 1 1/2 yr old daugther who will never know him. His grand mother with his picture in uniform with Old Glory in the background. Makes me think ..... my daughter is 25 and as many times times as I could have ( figuretively speaking ) killed he, at least we've had the time to experience and live with eachother but as this casualty of Bush's war he will never have the chance. Makes me sad and angry at the same time.

Is it the war's justification (or lack thereof) people have a problem with? Or is it lack of stamina to handle the casualties of a war?
War produces dead people on both sides, regardless of freakin technology and these days with the media reporting every single bullet being fired, everyone appears to be super sensitive, like we haven't been in a war before. Just curious.

"Bush's war"??? thats seems a little unfair in a way.
And its still a volunteer army I believe....there are risks involved.
(before anyone slams me, yes I did my 4 years in the USAF)
I remember having dinner with some relatives..either just b4 I went in the service or while I was home on leave once..I was still 18 I think. And this woman said she didnt understand me going into the military...she was sort of "blaming" my mom, lol....or saying she didnt see how anyone could let their kid go die in a foreign country.
My moms responce was something like "Id rather see my son die in war than see him die drunk falling off a motorcycle at college" or something like that.
But its funny now...that ladys son...who was only like 4 or 5 then....now he is a big fat lazy dude, got his gf pregnant and his life is sort of in a bad place...he is working running the cash register at a resteraunt and they have a small child. But its funny how certain attitudes land you and/or lead you in certain directions. And to me...the attitude of the left wing matches her attitude EXACTLY....and it cant help but produce the same results.
Either way...we/I knew and accepted the risks. And while I was stationed in greece several people were killed by terrorsist...some assasinated...some by car bombings..theyd just put a nice bomb in a knapsack by the road and when the GI bus went by they'd detonate it. I missed being in a bar where a bomb exploded by about 5 minutes once....a popular GI bar where I always started my nights out...I was walking up the street wondering why so many were running down it, lol.
But even so, it was different then (mid/late 80s) ...back then we respected Reagan and we were proud to serve.
Frankly the anti Bush stuff makes me ill. Its one thing to speak your mind.....but it could be done in a decent way....but no...everyone today has to make some big drama out of it all, which only exhibits the blatant "political" and "party ine" thinking of it all.
I guess if people got killed under a Dem Prez it would be ok??
Im so sick of the politics and the freaking whining crap....I have no business in these smelly threads anyway.
