Who spends money better? You or the Federal government?

Howdy all,

Simple question. Do you believe the Federal government spends money better that you? Let me explain. If you pay $500 a month in Federal taxes, do you think you get $500 worth of value from paying that tax or would you be better off by keeping it? Just curious

lets see, 500 to personal items to increase slacking off productivity, vs. 500 to be spent on a battery for a congressmen's remote control

hmm

i would have to go with the first one

What is scary is the fact that I know how bad I am about spending money...and I still think I can spend it better than the Gov!

I'm very happy to have good roads, police, fire dept., military, public schools, sewer system, the list goes on. I don't mind paying taxes at all. We are all totally dependent on one another, and in such a large and complex society I think we need some sort of tax system.

Dear Radar#'s,

Not a simple question--a complex one!

Let's see...the Fed, as well as myself, spend money like a drunken sailor...thereby stimulating the economy...hmmm... I'd have to go with the Fed. They spend money much better than I do...but only because they've taxed so much out of us, they've got so much to spread around!

See, the average person (IMO) tends to be a bit...parsimonious. He keeps his jack in reserve, and the richer he is, the more parsimonious (hey, he didn't get rich by layin' it out, he got that way by takin' it IN!).

Therefore, this economy actually NEEDS a bunch of Robber Barons taxing the populace, thereby creating $$ circulation.

Just IMO...heh, heh....KH

Jump on it, People! WHEEE, heh, heh....
