Well, on the 24th I placed an order for flowers to be delivered on the 31st to my gf for our anniversary. I then flew out to Duke to suprise her.
Well when I get off of the plane today at 5:06 I get a call from them. Apparantly a number was missing in the phone number, so they would not deliver the flowers.
I called them back to see what the problem was, and after about 10 minutes it was relvealed that over half the address had been cut off, so they did not know where to deliver it. Not only that, but it was too late to deliver it eventhough I then gave them address.
I still have the confirmation email in my inbox showing that the address and phone number were correct when I placed my order.
What really gets me is that they made *no* attempt to get a real address or phone number from me until 4:30 PM the DAY it was to be delivered. This really is the first time in my life that I have felt truely compelled to write a letter. This truely is horrible policy.
The customer service person told me she would put in a note that it was their fault, and give me a whole $6 back on my CC. Wow thanks a friggen lot. If I was thinking clearly I would have told her to cancel it and gone and bought some flowers so I could have them on time
So now she will be getting flowers tomorrow and I will be mailing off a not so nice letter.
