Want some cheese? Get a court date
Quote:
Tenth-grader Corey Campbell says he was just trying to get lunch in a crowded cafeteria on Tuesday when the cheese controversy began.
"I walked in and I got cheese sticks and fries," Campbell said. "And then I went and paid for it."
He forgot his marinara dipping sauce and went back to get it. He grabbed some melted cheese, too, and then started back to his table.
"I was walking out of the door and the lady called me over," Campbell said. "I said okay. She asked me what I had, and I told her cheese. She told me that cost 25 cents and I said 'OK, let me give you 25 cents for this cheese'. And she said 'No. Give me your ID'."

well I wouldn't be sending my kids to that school. What the school is doing is pretty lame. Most pretzels places don't charge for the melted cheese. its factored in the cost of the preztels wheater they want chesse or not.

Hope it taught the little perp a lesson---he steals cheese today, just like drugs, next week he could be carjacking Mercedes owners at gunpoint...

It would seem to me that school district could be in for a very large, expensive law suet. Maybe that teacher that asked for I D instead of taking the quarter needs a barebottom spanking.

well as we all know...cheese is the gateway drug
EDIT: seriously...that teacher should have to cover the court costs. had this been something else...like a projector, or a laptop or something, then i would completely understand...but a 25 cent thing of cheese!?!

I am going to mail the school a quarter care of the student. If 599 others do the same, that would cover the cost of his ticket and probably attract much more media attention to this ludicrous accusation by the school.
