HAHAHHAHAA, Now, THAT'S a thread title!!

Just do what I used to do in High School....start a plausible explanation that never stops. It just goes on and on, with intricate details that you make up along the way, and everytime they ask for clarification, you say, "Not exactly, you see, because...etc" and embroider it with even more details....

Eventually, they'll give you the day off and tell you to go away because they can't stand to hear any more of this preposterous story....

And the beauty part is, they'll think it's THEIR fault! Hahahaha!

I've used the "have an issue in the family" before...they'll think it's someone is sick/dieing, etc. but you don't have to say. It will generate a sympathetic "...Well I hope everything will be ok".
