cell phone guidance needed
well i hate the little buggers, but i need to buy one for work. anyone have any tips? services? providers? deals?
i will probably only be using it at night. so a high number of free night and weekend minutes would be nice.
Thanks!

I would assume it is. I purchased my phone through them over a year ago. They are just some sort of middleman between you and the provider. You never deal with or hear from them again.

I'm going to be heading back stateside pretty soon, and will (unfortunately) need a cellphone. That looks like a helluva deal. Does that plan seem pretty reasonable for $40/month? I'd basically only need it for the occaisonal local call and emergencies. But, the free long distance nights and weekends would be sweet too, since my entire family lives out of state.
Needless to say, I haven't been able to do a lot of comparison shopping from here.

THUD.... you have the ability to select from multiple providers and plans at that page. Allows you to comparison shop with ease =)
That is a fine plan BTW.

Cingular Wireless gives me 1,000 daytime minutes and 5,000 evenin/weekend minutes for fifty bucks a month (actually, $66.35, all told, but still...)
I got a nifty Motorola flip-phone for about $50 after the rebate, too. Pretty good, I think. |

sorry to outshine you Knot, but the one i got from that page has unlimited night and weekends, and 600 anytime. free roaming. and the monthly is 40.
$35 activation + $49 for the phone + $20 overnight shipping - $100 in rebates = $4. hopefully it won't be a lemon
