Man catches shark with bare hands, kills it.
I knew Iclanders were tough, but "Iceman" takes the cake.

I like it when then shark wins! I don't believe in killing sharks...after all, we're invading their domain!
Cool story though...however, I would have to see it to believe it.
Thanks for sharing vern.

Yes a very interesting article, and a very brave thing to do. I wonder if the Skipper knows that when you hold a shark by its tail fin it induces a sleep-like trance.
Don't try this at home!

The general consensus on a couple of other boards I was browsing seemed to be that he would have been in more danger of getting his legs bitten off by a particularly large and grumpy gold fish than that species of shark.
Still, I would probably not want to put that to the test |

A shark attacked a kid somewhere here on the east coast..seems like 2 years ago or maybe last year.....kid and his uncle I think..they were swimming in shallow water.
Anyway, it attacked the kid and the uncle dragged it out of the water and killed it. Unfortunately the kid did die. Could have been in Morehead City NC.
There is a thing called "rage", lol.
As for the "iceman"...maneater or not...660 lbs of shark is serious business. I guess in shallow water maybe the sharks arent quite as maneuverable? And they dont have surprise on their side.

It's still impressive that he did it. A shark of that size still isn't a toy. |

Hey JP...that uncle that you are referring to was actually fishing for sharks with his nephew in the water. What a jackass!
