It won't let me vote for some reason.

If it would, you'd see a vote for "yes".
I am pro-child and pro-family. And it has been shown time and time again that sex offenders do NOT rehabilitate. They repeat their crimes over and over and over. Because of this, I support these initiatives:
sex offenders should have to register (lack of registration should result in stiff jail times and large fines)
they should have the registration lists (with addresses) published in very obvious places for the community to see
they should have to alert everyone in their communities by going door to door and telling everyone that he/she is a sex offender
This is a rights issue that we must decide between the rights of the law-abiding versus the non-law abiding. If sex offenders could be rehabilitated, then it would be a different story. Since study after study has shown this is not possible, they should be visible to protect our children.
Most child molestation is driven by sick sexual desires. Most rape is not. But Chem castration would be a nice deterrent for serial rapists.
It is sad and sheer compassion would say that this is wrong, but we must stop these criminals from getting to our families. Since they have shown that they do not rehabilitate, chem castration should be used in severe cases. The above suggestions should be implemented after the first conviction and should persist until the person dies.
As for female sex offenders, there are very very few. And I do not know of any female serial sex offenders, although they may exist.
