It's like nearly everybody is on an all-out mission to either annoy another person so much, or post little stupid remarks about the other person, or just out-right call them names!

We're supposed to be civilised, can't we all just get along, I mean, seriously, who actually goes on the internet to start an argument?

Let's just relax, I come on these forums to

a) Have a laugh
b) Learn more about computers
and
c) Find out about the latest gaming news

Not to argue with every person on the whole board.

Let's just all be , yeah?

Yes I agree, people stress out too much on this board.

We should have a day where nobody posts in the debate threads

Generally holidays such as Christmas are like that but only because people are dragged away from their internet lives kicking and screaming, forced to sit down and do some REAL socializing

I agree... I've been spending more time lurking in the Community forums lately and I'm not very impressed. I mean lurking as there's no much to post replies too that won't make things worse.

Just earlier this year things were much calmer and... serene. Now there are theads brought up that just for the sole purpose of starting arguements and name calling.

I know it's probably not feasible but I would suggest that the Community forum be closed for a month or so to give people time to COOL OFF!! AND GROW UP!!!

A lot of us are mature people, we can bite our tongues once in a while can't we??

I don't know about that...count me out of visiting TechIMO for a month then

I don't know about with the "sudden surge" deal like other threads on this subject say. I've been a Sysopt/TechIMO member for 4 years and have seen a lot of crap....they come and go with the world's political climate.

If you don't like the religio/political threads, then post something else. I've tried to with mixed success. Go back and take out all the "offensive" threads and you won't have too much left in Community. The incredible turnover of threads in that forum would slow to a trickle. And that's boring. But if we come up with non-confrontational threads, the nasty ones will become a mere distraction.
