Too old to trick-or-treat..?

This was one of the articles in our school newspaper, I don't think there should be an age.. parents get to go with their kids, right?

I think I'm too old to Trick-or-Treat. I can remember when dirt was still the new hot commodity.

I think I stopped when I was 13 or so. I'm 19 now, and some of my friends still do it.

It really sucked in the later years.. Late October in Canada is cold, and the houses were too far apart in the area that I lived in.

I dont' think older kids should do it.. takes away from some of the younger kids' fun

Especially the kids that like to bully

Parents often go with small kids where I live. It keeps the kids from doing anything too destructive and also protects them from traffic, psychos, etc.

After all, we spend years telling kids not to take sweets from strangers, then every Halloween send them off in goofy costumes to do exactly that...

lol U-96

we dont have this here, but sometimes we get the halloween feeling and a lot of stores sell things for halloween (moneymaking)
here it wouldnt be a problem letting children go from door to door and asking for candy it's quite save here!

but for what? just because it was an old ritual from northern europe? i still dont get it =)
