Engineers End Farmers’ 33-year Wait for Water

Another story that will irritate the liberals....... amazing... our army can REBUILD and FIX, not just destroy.

http://www.defendamerica.mil/article.../a102003c.html

Quote:
BAGHDAD, Iraq, Oct. 18, 2003 — Thirty three years. That is how long the farmers of Shamlyt, a small community three miles northwest of Baghdad have waited for drinking water in their homes.

And now, thanks to the efforts of the Task Force 1st Armored Division’s 70th Engineer Battalion, the farmers’ wait is over.

“We first asked the Iraqi Government to provide us with drinking water in 1970,” said one village resident. “And we waited and we waited. Four years ago, they told us they were going to build the pipeline. Then two years ago they told us that another district in Baghdad was going to get the pipeline and we would have to wait yet again. Now thanks to (the U.S. Army) we are finally going to get our water.”

What's not amazing is that all your sources (for the 3 articles you posted about in your threads) are coming from military sites. The last time I checked the military was directly involved in the invasion, not quite a source of objective media is it?

However as you said, this is good news indeed. Small good steps.

When you frame your post like that you sort of destroy the purpose of posting good news... taint the well so to speak.

But the story is fact though, and yes, it will irritate the liberals.

If you take joy in posting such good news only to irritate the liberals then this is quite tragic. And, if you think that I denied the truth of this site when I commented about the source then I urge to your think about what I wrote one more time.

I put more faith in a well-intentioned military as Good Shepherds to any number of people than in any criminally irresponsible "religious" underclass.

This goes for ALL forms of political-religious sectarian associations as well.

The Military understand the scientific logic of Monotheistic belief in One Uniting Supreme Being as well as the logistics of looking after a planet filled with the poor and starving, who are often uneducated by their "religion" and their "religious leaders" who only seek to perpetuate ignorance and suffering amongst the poor in order to maintain their "hold" over them.

A Freeman has no time for religion and its perversity.

As far as objectivity is concerned the Military are far more objective than any imbecile who conducts a "policy" of urging people to have more children than anyone can afford or the planet can support, and refers to it as a ploy.

Anyone who does so can only be considered to be a fool.

False religion and false doctrine covered in the dogma of false belief has been misleading people for millennia.

No-one needs a religion which comprises devils and satans, they need education, population control and proper provision.

With the correct organisation all of the people of this planet could have been provided for, but much of what could have been organised has been left to chance, shrouded in superstition and veiled in ignorance.

The World is not flat, it does not have corners and the Earth orbits the Sun.

The imbeciles, their inquisition and their witchhunts would have that it was otherwise.

There is no objective media.

Each source has their own personal biases.

Media provides 0 reports on progress. The media also does not note that most if not all of the unpleasantness is happening in the Sunni triangle.

Military reports mostly progress.

At this point I think the media's view is more distorting just based on the small casualty figures and low number of uprisings.

(higher than I would like but all things considered better than I expected. 0 casualties is simply not a realistic figure. 0 uprisings is not reasonable.)

As is usually the case, the media distorts everything.

Keep em coming. And I was able to look right over that and see the good news without a tear.
