It's definately true in the Army...being tall gets you "volunteered" for a lot of things which gets you noticed which gets you promoted faster.

And I've seen studies where women choose the taller guys over the shorter guys most frequently

For you taller gents:
What height women do you prefer or generally are interested in? For myself, it's always the real short ones, 5'-5'4" or so

i'm glad i'm tall then...

as for height in women i prefer them taller...like 5'7" to 6'. my g/f is 5'11" and it's sooo great cause i don't have to bed over to kiss her like some previous girls

You mean they told these people to act exactly the same in the same job with the same performance? to rule those out as variables?
Maybe tall people just work harder!

Myself I prefer women about 5'8 or so.. ex was 6'2 which definately had its perks.. but current g/f is 5'3 which I'm finding I like for other reasons.. so in the middle is nice
Certainly not complaing though

It all evens out because taller people, on average, have slightly shorter life spans than shorter people.
