For the guys out there w/o kids...

At what age would you IDEALLY like to have kids?

I myself have NO INTEREST in Warthog Jr's at this moment in time...I am not a kid friendly person - although they always freakin stare at me in the grocery store. Must be my height.

Anyway, my friends g/f always talks to me about their kid...it's great and all and I try to have interest in her but I honestly can't "get into it" wholeheartedly.

I want to be married at anytime between next year and age 25, kids several years after that to a max of age 30-31. We are speaking in ideal terms, obviously it's probably not gonna turn out that way. What about the rest of you? Reasons for waiting?

Hmmm, I suppose I want input from you other guys who do have kids - was your kid a "surprise"? How did you handle it?

I don't know. Kids an i don't get along.. Okay kids like me. i just don't like kids. I'm not sure what to do.

I want kids, but a marriage first - anytime between now and whenever.

But ideally my first kid should be before I am 29 (30 makes a difference!).

On the other hand, I have a collegue who is 27 and has 2 kids.
The first was a surprise, and is now 5.... he stuck with his girl, and a couple of months ago had a second.
They are happy, and grown together.

i have a mate in my prodcution company at school who is 24 and has 2 children. he is happy. i ahve a freidn who is 19 and is married with one child and is happy.

I really have no clue... As long as it's not an extreme age (ie. Tomorrow (19) or 30 years from now (49), then I see benefits to having kids at all ages.

I guess it really depends upon the individual..

I'm not a kid person, either.. I can only stand children for very short periods of time. And I can't stand rotten kids for any period of time. My brother and his girlfriend decided to become parents at 21 and 19, respectively. They threw away a nice portion of their youth and now have to deal with the most tyrannical child ever to be brought into society. It was a good "THINK BEFORE YOU ACT" lesson for me, fortunately for me... Unfortunately for him and her.

I'm only 15 but I would like to get married when I'm out of college, I guess around 25 or so. The from their I would to gain up some money for a while so I will be able to actually afford kids.

Children seem to like me..but I am not too fond of the smell, noise, or devotion required to raise one. Then when they become 10-13 they become a real pain..I should know..thats how old my brother is now.

I love kids. I get along with them real well, I'll stop what I'm doing to play with them, help with problems, etc. I wouldnt mind having a kid at all, its the marriage part I'm hung up on. And no, I dont condone having kids before marriage.
