I just couldn't picture Dr. Evil's son scott as a hacker *shrug* just don't think he's a very good actor.

dunno, I think that part of the movie was completely irrelevant and was more of a waste of time.

I tend to abore 'uber hackers' in movies cause they try make it look like everything only takes minutes to hack into

I guess it added something to his character, to be bitter of the wrong-doing for so long.
However, I felt it to be irrelevant, too.

The movie wasn't that great anyway.

Does the company which produced the movie own napster? Someone did buy it, didn't they?

Awww... I actually like Seth Green. (He also played a hacker-type character in Enemy of the State.)

As for making it seem like it only takes a minute to hack something, it's just for the image. What kind of impression would it leave if a hacker took days to hack something? He wouldn't seem so impressive. Just like action heroes can dodge bullets and survive bomb explosions to impress the audience, they gotta do this for hackers.

Hope this isn't thread crapping, but what about Hugh Jackman in Swordfish? He hacked the Dept of Defense database while... ahem... getting oral pleasure in less than a minute. Should be impossible, but impressive, wasn't it?

I think I saw the original italian job a long time ago, and I think the modernization of the movie was nothing like the original. Didn't they even refer to the previous movie in this new one? 'Let's do it the italian job style!'
