Evolution: a Hoax? or Fact!

In another thread " Why are you an atheist?" we were heartily (and not without contention) debating this issue. I thought it deserved its own thread, as the idea of evolution is inclusive to both Theists and agnostics, and not just atheists alone. I'll let you start:
Two versions:

Creation of the Universe came first, Galaxy by Galaxy, then God waited for life to evolve, evolution of that life to occur, and He also helped the process along the way.

Of course evolution is the natural way living things errr....evolve. I think Senior Distinguished Member Epidemic had started this topic way back in March or something.

Evolution is a fact because it can be demonstrated in controlled conditions.

Also, God really has nothing to do with this. God and Evolution are mutually exclusive. Neither depends on each other. Evolution is a natural process while God is an individual's belief or faith.

I can't see any connection.

but then he goes to say.... "blabla believe in god"

The term "hoax" refers to deliberate fraud, not simple error. There may be epistemological problems with Darwinian evolution (although the same problems also apply to astronomy), but the notion that Darwinism is fraud clearly comes from a particular religious agenda, not from scientific skepticism.

There are those who think the Apollo Moon landing was a hoax, too. Funny -- a lot of them watch Fox TV.

Theo, I would bet that the anti government conspiracy theorists in the left would probably be the main group of people represented by the apollo moon landing is a hoax crowd.

I can not check any of following:
100% undeniable fact
only partially true
a theory that proves that God does not exist
a hoax!

The addition of:
A reasonable theory based on observation. would probably have been better then partially true.

An incomplete theory might also work.

but the partially true indicates that there are errors.

As for the complete theory (timeline, mechanisms, exact orders of speciation, etc.) I'd say "Only partially true". That's the way I voted... I think. The voting here is still buggered. There's a lot of the theory that is probably close to dead-nuts on, but some of the explanations used to fill that gaps may end up being refined as more and better evidence is discovered.

As for the idea that species evolve I'd say "100% undeniable fact". There's no doubt that evolution exists.

Neither if these contradict the existance of one or many supreme beings. And it is entirely too complex with too many scientists working on too many parts to be a hoax.
