I need some advice from drummers

I bought a set of drums.They are cheap,and totaled,otherwise in bad shape.
I am replacing all the heads on them. All the bottom hoops are gone also except the Bass drum.
It has a Ludwig 14x5 steel snare.12,13,and 16 inch toms, and a 22" Bass. What is the proper way to tune these things.Seeing that I'm a guitar player the lack of strings makes it that much more of a challenge.

Anyone willing to open the controversy?

Also if you have any cheap obsolete hardware I might be intrested too. I have nothing but the drums themselves. No stands pedals or cymbals of any kind.

Thanx

I hate you guys.....

Now I want to buy a new set. It doesn't seem as expensive as it did when I was 19.

I have my old set all in pieces in my parents basement. Some day I will clean them up, get new heads, and set 'em up.
Now that I can afford them, I don't have any time.

I miss jammin on Friday nights with a 12 pack.

You guitar players are lucky, you can play pretty much play anywhere.

BTW, that was the same way I tuned my drums. (SD's link)

haha, set'em up and go for it.At least now ya have the money to pay the fine for being too loud

2 people on agreement on how to tune drums, this will never happen again. I'm ording new heads today.
I have 10 year old boy that is pounding on empty coffee cans and plastic bowls,at least he'll get to work on real drums till I get some stands
I can't wait to get in and play a little too.
