China pulls plug on live broadcast of manned space launch
http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor...cast&printer=1
I personally hope this launch is a failure. We don't need the Chinese having the ability to launch rockets into space. The next thing will be rockets with Nuclear payloads.Sorry,I just don't trust them.China is a real threat to our economy and to our way of life.I don't wish any personal harm to their astronauts. But,I can't accept their success. After all,Bill Clinton gave away so much information to them. They shouldn't even be where their at right now. Thanks Bill. |

Well, a failure would be pretty sucky as it would probably involve loss of life. I mean, there's better things to hope for here.
The only way our race is going to move forward is if we're all on the same level. It's good that China (one of the planet's most powerful nations) is finally getting up there, IMO.

Only want us Americans to succeed? I don't care about politics, I for one want to see as many countries as possible get into the space race.

Good for china. I'm a little disturbed by your veiws on global politics Terminal. Heavan forbid china shouldn't do a little research into outerspace. I like the chinese people. They msg me in ICQ all the time. Mainly chinese uni students looking to better their english. Nice people. Good for them.

| Terminal23, China already has intercontinental ballistic missiles capable of delivering thermonuclear warheads. This, at least, is a stimulus to us to return to space.

| This is a conflict of interests...the chances of them failing w/o harming the astronaughts is very very small...besides, they're like us in many ways...did we quite after apollo 1? or challenger? or columbia? these are merely setbacks, so any failure only delays the inevitable and only adds harm
personally i don't see how them putting a man in space really endangers us more than we already are...they've already got a space program (including ICBM's as previously mentioned).
