Starting New
Have any of you ever just packed up and left, to move somewhere new where you knew pretty much no one? Such as for a job transfer, or personal reasons?
What were your experiences like? Was it tough?

Being a military brat I have been to several places. Turkey, California, Illinois, Hawaii and Virginia
Picking up and leaving everything behind is hard. Going to a new place is scary yet exciting all at the same time.
Word of advice, keep and open mind since everything is new!
Good luck

So many times I can't count them all. Looked forward to every move. Change is good.
My most recent move was about 22 months ago. We left Massachusetts and moved to Illinois. Don't regret the move a bit.

At this point, I want to move... Just for a change. But I'm not sure if that's a "good enough" reason. I have the financial stability to do it, but I'm wondering if it's a good idea.

Visit some areas, find a job, find a place to live, move there. Quote: |

| What would hold you back?
Name the reasons for staying.

Like I said, I've always enjoyed moves. I get bored with an area and I've never felt really tied down. I see my family when I want and I make friends fairly easily. If finances are not an issue, I'd go for it.
If I could afford it, I'd move back to Europe for a year or two. I loved it over there.
