Two campers killed in apparent bear attack in Alaska park

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp.../bear_attack_1

Here is a pic of what a 1000lb bear looks like and what it can do.
WARNING - Graphic picture (human remains).

The story on the above bear:

Ahh also shows the truth about the human remains pic.

Fascinating...always wanted to go to Alaska and hunt bears...talk about excilerating.

Sucks about the bear guy...what a bad way to die.

What is the purpose of killing a bear?If you invade it's territory then all bets are off. There are about a million other things Id kill before killing a bear minding it's own business.I have never understood the whole hunting mentality.I mean I don't see anything wrong with hunting deer or wild bore or any other game meat.As long as it's done for the meat and not the trophy.Otherwise, why? It has to be a machismo thing I guess.I guess I don't have the killer instinct.Although, there are plenty of people that I'm quite sure I would have no problem with doing away with. These two people that were killed got what they wanted,up close and personal with a bear.If you want to kill a bear,do like the caveman and use a sharp stick and rock.Otherwise unfair advantage. Then again.bears have a very keen sense of smell and could easily come up from behind and ambush you.Otherwise, leave it alone.

lol, yeah probably it...the challenge, the hint of danger...Why jump out of airplanes? Why bungi jump? Why jump obstacles with a motorcycle? Why do we do a lot of things? All are a part of human nature, however illogical Spock/ClubMed may think they are.

I am not going to read it again but AFAIK these people were bear lovers. Now they are bear poo.

I am not a big trophy hunting advocate. But these guys were not hunting.

I know they weren't hunting. But,I was referring to what Cyclone wrote about. This guy thought that Bears were just harmless, friendly creatures. What an idiot.Lets see,I see a 1 thousand pound Kodiak bear and I want to get upclose and personal and be friends.

As far as thrill seeking.I'm all for thrill seeking.Jumping from a plane,Bungy jumping.Whatever your thrill may be I'm all for it.I just dont see the need to kill an animal to get such thrills. That is unless I decide I will hunt it down with my own bare hands.I think that would be a thrill.
