Is the FBI bugging the offices
of Philadelphia's mayor? Someone is: Quote: |
Pressed whether federal investigators themselves might have planted the bug, FBI spokeswoman Linda Vizi said the agency "would not confirm or deny" whether that was the case.

Gee.......... I wonder why........... Quote: |
The discovery of the bug comes as federal authorities have been engaged in criminal investigations related to city government, including a ticket-fixing scandal and the 2001 award of a $13.6 million airport contract to a firm with ties to the mayor's brother, T. Milton Street.

Theo, is this just an informational post or do you have an alterior motive.
By posting this are you saying look at this mayor?
Or are you saying look at the mean FBI?
Or Other?

| Epidemic, it's just an informational post. I thought it was an interesting story, and I don't even live in Philadelphia.
I don't know why the FBI bugged the office (they now do say it was their bug). I don't know who, or what, was the target of the bugging. There are a lot of possibilities, but it would be futile to speculate at this point.
This much can always be said: If you're bugged and you've done anything illegal, you're going to be worried; if you're bugged and you haven't done anything illegal, you're going to be mad. Either way, it's a story.
