First off let me say Hi to everyone as I have not been to the community forums in quite a while and it is good to see there are still people around that I am fond of. This morning I spoke with an night shift worker I have worked with for 5yrs. Talk about how tired he was as he fished a tournament Sunday then worked his 12hr shift making him 20hrs+ without sleep. So he got off work at 6 am and was headed home. About 8:30 AM they called a plant wide meeting to let everyone know that he fell asleep about 2 1/2 miles from his home and hit a tractor trailer head on. After impact his truck caught on fire but was quickly put out, but he was pronounced dead at the Scene. He had just got married around last Christmas and had a baby on the way. Things like this make a person think about life in general and how short it can be. He was only 31 yrs old and now he leaves behind a wife and so to be child. His sister also works at the plant and his family was a really close family. His parents and sister have adjoining farms right next to each other, and his sister had to come up on the wreck and see a family member die in that sort of way is something no one ever forgets as I know first hand as my oldest sister died the same way at age 18. So people don't forget to let the one you love know each and every days as you never know when there may not be a tomorrow.

The bad thing is it kinda gives a person a feeling of guilt, knowing he was tired and not saying anything only to find out after what happened. Thanks everyone for your thoughts and don't rush life.
