What are you watching on cable/satellite?

I am being deluged with all these great deals from Dish/DSS (cable is such a ripoff), so I was wondering what it was that I am missing. So, what are you watching on cable/satellite? What shows do you recommend your friends watch? What makes it worth subscribing to the monthly fees?

I'm hearing some funny things from MTV's Punked, and also the "reality" show by Jessica Simpson & Nick Lachey. Who would've thought that Jessica could be so high maintenance?

Action Channel = Anime, enough said.

Ok, seriously, I have been watching a ton of Law and Order re-runs lately. Otherwise, my TV is usually tuned to FX or Comedy Central.

I gave up on MTV, the reality shows are overrunning the network. Truly sad IMO, as I want music videos, not 18-20 year old yuppies living in posh houses, driving new sports cars complaining about non-existent relationship problems.

I had dish network, and the commercials where the guy cut a tree, and still couldn't get reception, and lost channels when the clouds came in isn't a joke

went back to Digital Cable.Pretty much the same lineup as far as channels, cheaper, and diidn't have to cut any trees to watch it

Personally I hated the Dish, but that's just my experiance.Digital cable from now on

Fox Sports World is the #1 reason I get digital cable. No other channel shows European soccer and rugby

regularly? something that doesn't please the idiotic masses such as MTV, reality shows, or skewed news programs. pretty much what RR said, i can agree with

i love Law and Order, other mystery shows, history, science, hell sometimes ill even watch NASA TV just to watch the guys at the computer terminals roll across the floor to gossip to john in experiments about cheryl in payroll.

I have cable tv. I watch, The Learning Channel, The Discovery Channel,The History Channel, Sci-Fi Channel, and some times I go
to the Country & Western Music Channel. There hasn't been a
movie on tv worth watching in a long time. I don't use a cable box,
I use an old VCR as a cable tuner.
