Concept cars

links should be working now

I went to the washington auto show today, and it was quite awesome (will post some pics when I get them scanned )

As usual with the car shows they had a few concept cars.. some I really liked some are ... WTF?!?

I found a page that had a few on there...

Pontiac Piranha

Very small, seemed pretty light but the interior was REALLY funky. I couldn't get a closer look unfortunately but could be a cool thing.

Chrysler 300 HEMI C

Well anybody that knows muscle cars should get a shiver of delight(or sadness) at the thought of bringing back the Hemi engine.
353-horsepower, 5.7-liter pushrod V-8
More images of the 300 HEMI C

Seems pretty nice looking, more of a luxury car than a sport... but with an engine like that, you're riding pretty damn fast in style

This one I didn't see, but looks very nice!

2002 Ford Thunderbird
Didn't like it! I was really excited to see this one cause I'd heard they'd gone retro.. well they should back to the drawing board on this one IMO lol

This one cracked me up but Scary thing is it will probably sell!

PT Cruiser with Beaver Panels!
(Beaver panels being the "wood" panels on the side of cars)

Mitsubishi SSS

This one completely floored me!
I didn't like the look of it, but partly cause I didn't get it lol. I didnt' understand what they were going for...
For one thing I couldn't see headlights or taillights!!
Very strange one, dont think that one will make it past concept

One thing that really impressed me was Cadillac's Night Vision. It has a small night vision camera in the grill of the car, and you have a HUD (Heads Up Display) that shows you the night vision image in the HUD, very cool!

Requires QuickTime movie

Some parts require shockwave

Your thoughts?
As I said previously I'll post up some pics soon as I get some

The URL Button sucks
It has a length of URL limit, that is WAY low

Ford T-bird

You would think that if ford was going to design a new vechile it would at least draw from its heritage. The T-bird for 2002 looks like a cross between a Corvette (50's) and an Alfa Romeo its lines are inconsistant with any thing ford has ever produced. I will take it you are not a Chevy fan?

Actually I am a chevy fan

These are just the cars that really stuck out, I didn't see anything Chevy had that was really different. (that I remember ... big difference! lol)

The one car I loved, god i wanted to drive it home!
2002 Pontiac Grand Prix Special Edition. I think it was like 10th anniversary or something
I was drooling!

I sat down, and wanted to drive it home

There was an updated model of the Dodge Ram as well, the grill got even BIGGER!

But still very nice inside of course

I do agree on the thunderbird, totally blew my mind how they call it a thunderbird... course I've always thought they've been ugly ... and of course there will probably be a cougar right behind it looking exactly the same LOL

they say when in rome do as the romans. I havent been state side in 4 years so I have become a Bimmer freak. Though the new Z-8 is one ugly car any hoo I do like what BMW has on its plate for the future. This next years BMW M-3 is enough to make a guy ///// his pants.
