An interesting opinion on the legitimacy of using the P2P information to incriminate users.

This article will describe how a P2P user allegedly caught committing an offence relating to
copyright violation, such as sharing/uploading/downloading/searching for contraband files, might
not have been knowingly involved, or might not have been involved at all. A selection of the
numerous ways to implicate P2P users in unacceptable behaviour will be provided in this article
to illustrate that "evidence" of unacceptable behaviour obtained by the authorities can be
extremely unreliable.

a very interesting read. it only covers the Gnutella network (GP2P) instead of the more popular KaZaA (fastrack) i am sure this will come in handy to people who refuse to stop sharing

I'm surprised this article received little commenting.

sixf00t4 - I think Gnutella was used as an example. The main point, is that the information the RIAA is using to go after users is highly suspect.

they either wanted:
A) it to be shorter
or
B) an html article

but yeah, your right, it was just used as an example. i just dont know why.
