Oh crap! the computer cut me!! lol

Ouch!
I was just starting to assemble my sisters system that I just got the parts for today. Well, I was taking off the other side panel when all of a sudden, the computer dropped onto my leg. (the other side was open, where you have access to the processor, ram, etc) It hurt very bad, but I didn't notice that I was bleeding because I was so concentrated on building this system.
Well, as I was putting the computer back together, I noticed that there was a lot of red spots on the case, oh well, I just wiped it off. Then as i turn the case around, there was blood everwhere on the front of the case! (because the case was resting on my leg) (i know, bad idea, static electricity, and all that....)
I was like crap! Then I noticed that my leg was bleeding... I then realized that I got cut because the computer fell onto me and the PC-133 128mb DIMM gave me a huge cut! The edge of that ram is sharp like a knife!! lol Well, its all cleaned up and my cut is fine, just some swelling?... Just would like to share my experience of getting cut by a computer...
anyways, going to sleep, a long day, haha good night

Anyone else here had such an experience?

Was it an iMac?

Nasty thing if it was.

Make sure you had your rabies shot if it was.

Cut myself many times on sharp bits of cases, edge connectors of cards, and many other bits. Nothing life threatening (yet! ), though.

Also dropped a monitor on my toe once. No blood, but lots of pain!

Hope you cleaned it up and put some antiseptic on it.

Cheers
Mick

I got seriously cut by an old sound card that had rusted into a 486. Took like 15 mins to get the thing out and slammed my hand on the case when i did!

i once cut myself putting a new hard drive out...left a nifty little scar since it sliced the top of my knuckle off...i've got an almost perfectly circular part on my nuckle that is competey bare (no wrinkles) that is about 4mm in diameter...not very big but it bled like hell.

Kind of a new wrinkle to "cutting edge" technology.

No task is complete until blood has been shed

At least you guys have good excuses for being cut. I cut my finger really bad on the CPU fan because it was vibrating and I tried to move it around. Finger slipped and into the fan it went.

Keep your fingers away from sharp pieces of plastic spinning at over 5k RPM!

Being a good computer tech, I always have a bottle of Nu-Skin on the work bench!

Anyone want to venture a guess as to why?

Well the old saying around here is If it didn't bleed it didn't count,so it counted

I stuck my hand in a box of old modems and sound cards once and all the solder joints on the back of the boards gave me some mean little diggers like 20 at once, bled for a long time.Of course being a mechanic I get lots of little scrapes and bleeders.
