CA voters tell CNN, buh bye, Gray!
A CNN/USA Today Poll points to a likely victory for the recall initiative and even greater likelihood of a Bustamante defeat.
I'm not a big believer in polls, skeptical of the fact that far more people say they'll vote than actually show up at the polls. There was actually a poll one time where the majority of respondents admitted lying to pollsters.

Grey is toast. Arnold seems to be doing well. But the voters are fickle. Could go either way.

There's still a week left unfortunately, and this week is gonna be full of those "when he was 10 he cursed in front of an onld lady" or "when he was a 21 he drove 5 miles over the speed limit" type of commercials

Arnold may or may not be a decent Governor ..only time will tell about that..if he is elected. What registers with me is..he hasn't ever? voted in the past, now he wants everyone to vote for him.. He has refused to debate Grey..thats just politics.. you don't press your luck, especially when you are ahead..but..Arnold doesn't strike me as being the wittiest kid on the block either. He may be a good actor (not to my personal liking however) but that aspect does not automatically qualify him for a political office.
Try this (if you can). Tell yourself that if Arnold was a nobody..and unknown individual that suddenly shows up in the spotlight wanting to run for the Governors job..would you vote for him?.. I doubt it..so..what is actually running for the Governorship of California?.. an actor, pure and simple.

I would vote for him because bustamante appears much more frightening to me. He actually seems to have more things against him then grey davis (if that is possible). Of course I can't vote so oh well we will see what happens.
In short if I see three people get shot as they round the corner in front of me. I am going to take the unknown route rather than definitely getting shot. I guess I would have to take word of the unknown candidate.
A guy holding a gun to your head says "Here drink this poison and die in 30 seconds or take my revolver with 5 out of six bullets in it, now spin and squeeze." I am gonna take the revolver if there is no other choice.

Be careful what you wish for, you may get it.
If Arnold wins he will have to deal with the problems. We'll see how popular he is then. He will dream of playing a robot in the movies.

Obviously, Arnold lacks qualifications. Cruz has qualifications -- he's been a mediocre, lackluster 2nd banana in Sac for a long time. The positive thing Arnold might bring to the job is the bully pulpit. If the Legislature is being obstructive (and you can bet they will!) he can call them out on it. Is that enough to warrant his election? Beats me. Our state gov't is disfunctional, I think we can all agree on that!

I don't see myself voting for Arnold. I don't have very much respect for him. He bad mouths Davis and won't even debate him. (He only shows up to the debate where most of the questions were given ahead of time as well. )
Before everyone jumps on my back and starts calling me a crazy liberal, my main choice (at the moment) is McClintock. (Who is a Republican BTW). The only problem I have with him? He's pro-life.
